While making a right hand turn, I drove into a curb, breaking the hubcap and making the tire squeak, just a little. Roland wasn't in the car when I drove into the curb. He never would have known about the curb crash if Noah (tattle tale) didn't announce it the minute we walked in the door. Now, when I drive and turn a corner, Roland gasps, cringes, grabs the car door, and braces himself on the dashboard.
Noah broke my bedroom ceiling fan...
But truly the saddest are the innocent Christmas people that are victims of "Christmas Break". Those that join us each year to brighten our days and cheer our hearts.
Like this helpful elf, whose hand fell off, but never lost it's grip on the ribbon:
And this jolly jester, who smiles even though he lost an entire arm and all 3 points of his jester hat:
And this brave woman (looks suspiciously like me hugging Roland on our dream chopper) who lost her leg, but won't let that stop her from showing off.
And this roller skate dude who lost one skate, but still, he walks to the skating rink, one skate over his shoulder, and skates on one foot.
And this angelic angel. Who, while singing on high, broke her hand clean off.
And finally, and most tragically, Harry Potter.
We also had a 9x13 pan of Chicken Pot Pie dumped all over the kitchen floor, which broke Ike's heart.
I am ready for Christmas BREAK to be over. School starts on Thursday.

It looks like a Christmas Mauler has been through your village of decorations. So sad.
Well jeez oh pete.... wassa madda with you guys? Butterfingers is the term my family used to apply when things got broken.
You captured the sentiment perfectly!
I always know it is time to put Christmas away when 1. the pile on my counter of things that need SuperGlueing takes over the counter and 2. the counter is holding more ornaments than the tree.
'Tis the season for Super Glue.
harry potter is my favorite one you blogged! sorry that happened! :)
I'm sorry, I don't understand the words "dream" and "chopper" in the same sentence unless it chops vegetables like my ChopWizard.
School starts Thursday??? My condolences you have to wait so long.
it cracks me up

Christmas decorations were made to be broken. It is a record of loving use, right?
So sad- my Mickey Mouse joined in the Christmas Break this year. So sad
This is good--you are FUNNY! ;-)
Poor Harry Potty.
Poor Christmas Village.
Joe is totally, 100% right. All the breaks are proof that Christmas is enjoyed at your house.
