Odds and Ends

None of my boys know when my birthday is. (Hannah, you know, right?) They don't know Roland's birthday either. They know the date for their own birthdays, Halloween, Christmas, and the 4th of July, but not the birthday of the woman who has made each of their birthdays (70 in all) a fantasy of delight.

They think it is in March, for crying out loud.

Gabe is coming home tonight! We haven't seen him since March!

Noah and Ike judge my popularity and personal worth by the number of comments I get per post. (I judge my popularity and personal worth by the number of hits I get.) Thanks for all the votes on Noah's yearbook picture. It made Noah feel VERY popular. Even though Movie Star was the clear winner he insists on Piano Man and so it will be. I'll post my favorite later.

September 21: it is snowing right now. Blowing sideways for crying out loud in a bucket.

My parents are in Denver and freezing! I know when your birthday is! I try not to judge my self worth on comment numbers...usually it's just you and a couple of other friends. My high is 10. Average 3. Lame.

How is it living with a movie star? Maybe he can get his personal assistant to remember your birthday.

Snow? It is too hot here...upper 80's. I'm over it. I want to wear a sweater.

Snow? Hot chocolate and Christmas tunes right?

Hug Gabe for us. We all miss him a lot!

I don't look at hits or stats, I'm afraid of depression.

Snow...ahhhhh....I know I would get tired of it, but, ahhh....Soups, apple crisp, the reflections and sparkles on the snow, sweaters and bundling up, fires, ah.

SNOW?

I am so jealous of your super crazy weather.

Did you know mom and dad's birthdays when you were a senior in high school? I didn't.

My kids don't pay attention to birthday details, either. Then again, yesterday my daughter (junior in HS) asked me what year she was born. Hello? It must be an age thing.

Snow is just crazy. Don't send it to Boston. I don't think I could handle the thought of 8 months of winter ahead of me.
