Noah's Sweet 16

Noah is a very fun guy. He laughs easily, he can take a joke and dish it back out, he isn't afraid to act goofy, he is easy going, he has gracefully bypassed most teenage angst, and cheerfully endured teenage awkwardness.
He is a nice person to hang around with. He loves all things musical. He picks up every instrument he can get his hands on and learns it quickly. This year, we got him an instrument he hasn't tried yet. He wanted a sitar, but those are hard to find for less than $750.

Here is the little treasure hunt we sent him on for his big gift:

Now that you are 16, you think you're really HOT.
You'll set the world a FLAME, but don't be a snot!
Make sure your socks MATCH before you leave the house,
And get your birthday BURNING with a FIRE we can't douse!

(okay, we know this doesn't rhyme, but we were tired and getting bit by mosquitoes - it is the cottage btw)

It is in the rafters where you can climb
but not on the outside, it's inside you'l' find.

Noah was thrilled with his banjo. He can already play quite a few hymns, primary songs, tunes by the Beatles and some bluegrass picking. He is very happy.
