Welcome to Part II of Music in the Nest.
.................................
For your entertainment pleasure we offer 15 seconds of Ike's 6th Grade Band concert, featuring the Ike-Man himself with the Saxaphone Solo. You'll recognize him as the tall one.
The band loved this piece because it starts all serious and boring and then BAM! suddenly the percussion takes off on this funky beat that makes you groove in your seat! I watched them perform at an elementary school and the kids all started dancing (sitting on their bums on the floor, but still, they danced) to this song.
Those of you living here know of the difficult time these sweet children had in band this year. I hope you also know how beautifully their director handled it and what an extraordinary program he has built. It makes me proud of them.

Kids are so awesome and resilient. I'm glad they had a great director to help them out.
Band concerts are my new/old favorite thing! I just love it! Ike is GOOD!
How fun. I have not been to a band concert in years. I miss that stuff.
BTW, your sweet friend Julie brought Jordan a birthday treat yesterday. You are a good contact my friend. Thanks for introducing me to Julie. Elder J loves his stalkers.
Awesome, Ike! That was great. I would've been groovin' too!
I like Ike! Hooray for Ike! this was a fun piece o listen to. Music teachers, both private instructors & school directors, have truly blessed the lives of myself, my kids, and now my grandkids. Hooray for music teachers!
