True.We stopped by Grandma and Grandpa's old house to see what work is being done. The second backyard is completely gone! All the trees, garden, greenhouse, the stairway to the top of the mountain - all gone. After 15 years of neglect the property is a mess but the original poolside furniture is still there. It made me sad. California Pools needs to buy the home and turn it into a memorial to G & G.

Dang about G & G's place. I'd have been afraid to visit just because even if it was the same I suspect it still wouldn't be as good as my memory. To see it so dilapidated and marginalized by other owners is disappointing. It was however Grandma and Grandpa that made it so great. Good thing we still have her ... too bad I'm so far away.

I feel the same way about vising the old Steimle home, it was so huge, ginormous and filled with green lush when I was last there that the picture you had up kind of made me sad.
Except for that FREAKING AWESOME POOL made by CALIFORNIA POOLS AND SPAS aka OUR GRANDPA!
