Odds and Ends

When I came home from Manhattan Beach Noah leaned on/hugged me (actually it is more like a drape, he drapes himself over me and I can hardly stand up) and announced that he missed me. He really missed me. It is nice to be missed by a 16 year old.

Ike's football bruise count is up to 16 now. Most of them are on his arms. It makes him proud.

It makes me proud that he comes downstairs on Sunday morning and reads the Friend (because I am the meany who has banned Sunday TV - only family movies in the evening).

Bookclub is reading "The Ladies Auxilary" by Tova Mirvis. It is a great book and you should read it.

I went to a model home auction yesterday with a few friends and bought a big red couch. I love it. Roland grumbled (as he heaved the huge thing into Mike's fancy truck with his big strong muscles, sigh, I'd buy 3 more couches just to watch him throw them around) about if we really needed that couch. The answer is YES.

But I am not sure how it will fit into the house.

The weather has been beautiful. This is the Colorado Indian Summer I have heard about. If only I could get my garden to flourish, move the cabin into the mountains here, and transplant my family/friends here I could be perfectly happy. Dear Colorado Friends, Don't be offended by my honesty. I love Colorado, very much. But I love Idaho a tiny bit more. But you already know that...because I blab about it constantly.

I get to teach 3 Nephi 8-11 today. How great is that! It almost feels like Christmas.

I would have loved to have been there for the "auction rush". I just love that adrenaline that gets going when I'm about to bid on something I really want! I would love to see the couch and love to come over and move furniture around and make it look fab with you.

Isn't it great to have teenagers that admit sometimes that they like you? It's a great feeling when it happens.

Andrew still misses Ike. I miss Ike.

Could you move to Norway?

My light is really cute, honest!

1. Alright for big red furniture and strong macho hubbies!!

2. I MISS YOU AND 10TH WARD!! ( I realize I live 5 minutes away, and yes, I am pathetic)

3. No offence taken, I love my Colorado friends, but I am an AZ girl at heart..

I want a picture too. I need to read your book. I'm ready to jump into books again.

I'm glad you are having wonderful weather!
