Last weekend we went to Territory Days in Old Colorado City. It was much better than I thought it would be and I thought it would be good. Mike and Chris were our guides.
Mike and Chris Smith.
They are the nicest people in Colorado Springs and made us feel welcome and loved when we moved here. We are lucky to have them in our family.
We love them and wish them a very happy 34th Anniversary this weekend!

There were thousands of happy people there. Lots of Native American influence, turquoise, and the best smelling food. Yum.

Hannah told me that when she reads my blog it seems like we are a totally different family because she and Gabe aren't in any of the pictures. We are a different family without Hannah and Gabe! We miss them very much and I think Territory Days would have been twice as much fun if they were with us.
The young, hip Smith's with only 2 children.
Noah's new glasses. He bought these at Territory Days. He is very proud of them and wears them non-stop. I have told you before about how I find goofy pictures on my camera.

This is a quick video of the group Brule. They are a Native American band that plays new age music. They are Chris's favorite and I can see why. Their music was so beautiful that it made me tear up a little. I hope the video plays.

That sounds fun. I love where you live, there is just so much to do! I would love to come visit you again, maybe during Territory Days or when they have that festival with the roasted peppers, that just sticks in my mind as so yummy sounding. Did you get fry bread at territory days? Mmmmmmm chocolate & butter fry bread--time to go back to Phoenix.

I love Noah's shades. I love Ike's smile. I miss Hannah and Gabe. Can we get an update on their lives please?

I like CS too. I don't think we took advantage of all the cool things there when we lived there. Mostly we rode bikes around the lake at the Broadmoor (probably very tacky...) (and they changed the layout when we moved, I don't think you could do it anymore...) and hiked the zoo every weekend.

Rachael - you are not retarded, just tired of whiny girls.

Sally - come visit in Sept. That is when the chili festival is. Its HOT.

Melissa - nothing tacky about the broadmore.

Diane - excellent comment. I didn't get earrings, darnit.

Oh, I know there isn't anything tacky about the Broadmoor, but maybe, just possibly, riding bikes around it when you aren't guests might fringe on tacky. Might. :)

You commented on my blog about mentioning it here, go ahead. :)
