Odds and Ends

Spring keeps trying to happen here in Colorado but so far, not much success. The trees are still bare and the grass is still brown. Mom told me that the septic field garden at the cabin is lovely and blooming and both rivers are active with rafts and kayaks. Makes me homesick!

We hosted dinner group with a Mexican Fiesta theme. Roland decorated the table and purchased the streamers. Ike made a playlist full of Buena Vista Social Club, Los Lobos, and a few songs from Nacho Libre.

Easter was sweet and fun. It is nice to have Gabe home with us while he prepares to go to college. He is a sweetie and promised to build me a veggie garden for my birthday (I am very excited about this).

Ike has been busy with basketball and jazz band. He can't get enough sleep or food and gets taller every week. Only 4 weeks of school left!

Hannah will be home from BYU this week and then zip off for a summer in LA, New Hampshire, Nags Head, Alaska (working in the Becharof National Wildlife Refuge), and finally the cabin! Whew!

Becharof National Wildlife Refuge - Hannah's summer stomping grounds.

Noah will spend the summer working in Logan and taking a few summer school classes. I miss him and hope that he can come home for a visit.

Roland and I are fine. Just fine. Missing the cabin as we always do in the spring/summer/fall and winter, but we are fine.

Septic Field Garden? You've gotta come up with another name for it.

:) Linda's comment. :)

Love seeing pictures of your boys! We'll have to meet Noah for an ice cream cone when we're in Logan this summer!
